This presentation aims to discuss the discursive problem of authorship, having as object of study the linguist and activist Noam Chomsky. By concepting the author as a “function-author” (FOUCAULT, 1997), we intend here to understand the means by which certain images are constructed for Chomsky, responsible for making two possible authors emerge, through the paratexts of his books: a “double Chomsky” and a “unique Chomsky”.
