INGEBORG KROESE – AN INVESTIGATION INTO GENDER EQUITY AND INCLUSION IN CORPORATE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES

Employee training theory and practice is typically positioned as gender neutral. Programmes such as communication training are theorized and delivered as if the sex of the participants and gender dynamics do not play a meaningful role. However, a multidisciplinary literature conveys a potentially different story, and my case study research investigates, with a critical sociocultural lens, the gendered subtext of corporate training and the impact on equity and inclusion.
